Geiger mode APD's for the underground cosmic ray experiment EMMA
L. Bezrukov, K. Butin, I. Davitashvili +26
Multi-pixel photodiodes operating in a limited Geiger mode will be used for photoreadout of scintillator counters in underground cosmic ray experiment EMMA. Main parameters of phot…
Multi-pixel Geiger-mode avalanche photodiode and wavelength shifting fibre readout of plastic scintillator counters of the EMMA underground experiment
E. V. Akhrameev, L. B. Bezrukov, I. M. Dzaparov +25
The results of a development of a scintillator counter with wavelength shifting (WLS) fibre and a multi-pixel Geiger-mode avalanche photodiode readout are presented. The photodiode…
On the level of background in underground muon measurements with plastic scintillator counters
V. I. Volchenko, G. V. Volchenko, E. V. Akhrameev +23
In this short note we present results of background measurements carried out with a polystyrene based cast plastic 12.0x12.0x3.0 cm^3 size scintillator counter with a wavelength sh…
A LED Flasher for TUNKA experiment
B. K. Lubsandorzhiev, R. V. Poleshuk, B. A. J. Shaibonov +2
A LED flasher has been developed for TUNKA-133 EAS Cherenkov detector. A blue ultra bright InGaN LED is used as a light source in the flasher. The flasher's driver is based on a fa…
