The ArDM experiment
ArDM Collaboration, C. Amsler, A. Badertscher +51
The aim of the ArDM project is the development and operation of a one ton double-phase liquid argon detector for direct Dark Matter searches. The detector measures both the scintil…
Giant Liquid Argon Observatory for Proton Decay, Neutrino Astrophysics and CP-violation in the Lepton Sector (GLACIER)
A. Badertscher, A. Curioni, U. Degunda +13
GLACIER (Giant Liquid Argon Charge Imaging ExpeRiment) is a large underground observatory for proton decay search, neutrino astrophysics and CP-violation studies in the lepton sect…
Operation of a double-phase pure argon Large Electron Multiplier Time Projection Chamber: comparison of single and double phase operation
A. Badertscher, L. Knecht, M. Laffranchi +7
We constructed and operated a double phase (liquid-vapour) pure argon Large Electron Multiplier Time Projection Chamber (LAr LEM-TPC) with a sensitive area of 10x10 cm and up t…
Construction and operation of a Double Phase LAr Large Electron Multiplier Time Projection Chamber
A. Badertscher, L. Knecht, M. Laffranchi +5
We successfully operated a novel kind of LAr Time Projection Chamber based on a Large Electron Multiplier (LEM) readout system. The prototype, of about 3 liters active volume, is o…
