Indoor Localization of Smartphones Thanks to Zero-Energy-Devices Beacons
Shanglin Yang, Yohann Benedic, Dinh-Thuy Phan-Huy +2
In this paper, we present a new ultra-low power method of indoor localization of smartphones (SM) based on zero-energy-devices (ZEDs) beacons instead of active wireless beacons. Ea…
RIS-Enabled Smart Wireless Environments: Deployment Scenarios, Network Architecture, Bandwidth and Area of Influence
George C. Alexandropoulos, Dinh-Thuy Phan-Huy, Kostantinos D. Katsanos +19
Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) constitute the key enabler for programmable electromagnetic propagation environments, and are lately being considered as a candidate phys…
Creating and Operating Areas With Reduced Electromagnetic Field Exposure Thanks to Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces
Dinh-Thuy Phan-Huy, Yohann Bénédic, Sebastien Herraiz Gonzalez +1
Mobile network operators must provide a target quality of service within a target coverage area. Each generation of networks from the 2nd to the 5th has reached higher quality-of-s…
Smart Wireless Environments Enabled by RISs: Deployment Scenarios and Two Key Challenges
George C. Alexandropoulos, Maurizio Crozzoli, Dinh-Thuy Phan-Huy +9
Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) constitute the enabler for programmable propagation of electromagnetic signals, and are lately being considered as a candidate physical-l…
