ISO-Bench: Benchmarking Multimodal Causal Reasoning in Visual-Language Models through Procedural Plans
Ananya Sadana, Yash Kumar Lal, Jiawei Zhou
Understanding causal relationships across modalities is a core challenge for multimodal models operating in real-world environments. We introduce ISO-Bench, a benchmark for evaluat…
Deep reinforcement learning-based joint real-time energy scheduling for green buildings with heterogeneous battery energy storage devices
Chi Liu, Zhezhuang Xu, Jiawei Zhou +3
Green buildings (GBs) with renewable energy and building energy management systems (BEMS) enable efficient energy use and support sustainable development. Electric vehicles (EVs),…
Gender Inclusivity Fairness Index (GIFI): A Multilevel Framework for Evaluating Gender Diversity in Large Language Models
Zhengyang Shan, Emily Ruth Diana, Jiawei Zhou
We present a comprehensive evaluation of gender fairness in large language models (LLMs), focusing on their ability to handle both binary and non-binary genders. While previous stu…
Dynamic Token Reweighting for Robust Vision-Language Models
Tanqiu Jiang, Jiacheng Liang, Rongyi Zhu +3
Large vision-language models (VLMs) are highly vulnerable to multimodal jailbreak attacks that exploit visual-textual interactions to bypass safety guardrails. In this paper, we pr…
