Near-unity indistinguishability of single photons emitted from dissimilar and independent atomic quantum nodes
Félix Hoffet, Jan Lowinski, Lukas Heller +2
Generating indistinguishable photons from independent nodes is an important challenge for the development of quantum networks. In this work, we demonstrate the generation of highly…
Strongly non-linear interaction between non-classical light and a blockaded Rydberg atomic ensemble
Jan Lowinski, Lukas Heller, Félix Hoffet +3
We investigate the interaction between non-classical light with a tunable multiphoton component and a highly nonlinear medium based on cold Rydberg atoms. The non-classical field e…
Ultra-low noise quantum memory for quasi-deterministic single photons generated by Rydberg collective atomic excitations
Lukas Heller, Jan Lowinski, Klara Theophilo +2
We demonstrate the storage and retrieval of an on-demand single photon generated by a collective Rydberg excitation in an ultra-low noise Raman quantum memory located in a differen…
Probing the indistinguishability of single photons generated by Rydberg atomic ensembles
Auxiliadora Padrón-Brito, Jan Lowinski, Pau Farrera +2
We investigate the indistinguishability of single photons retrieved from collective Rydberg excitations in cold atomic ensembles. The Rydberg spin waves are created either by off r…
