Dynamic System Optimum: A Projection-based Framework for Macroscopic Traffic Models
Mostafa Ameli, Sergio F. A. Batista, Jean-Patrick Lebacque +1
This paper proposes the theoretical grounds for emulating the Dynamic System Optimum with desired arrival times on regional networks, using aggregated traffic dynamics based on the…
Collective Departure Time Allocation in Large-scale Urban Networks: A Flexible Modeling Framework with Trip Length and Desired Arrival Time Distributions
Mostafa Ameli, Jean-Patrick Lebacque, Negin Alisoltani +1
Urban traffic congestion remains a persistent issue for cities worldwide. Recent macroscopic models have adopted a mathematically well-defined relation between network flow and den…
Multimodal urban transportation network equilibrium including intermodality and shared mobility services
Khadidja Kadem, Mostafa Ameli, Mahdi Zargayouna +1
Shared Mobility Services (SMSs) are transforming urban transportation systems by offering flexible travel options. These services, which help reduce the number of cars on the roads…
Departure Time Choice Models in Urban Transportation Systems Based on Mean Field Games
Mostafa Ameli, Mohamad Sadegh Shirani Faradonbeh, Jean-Patrick Lebacque +2
Departure time choice models play a crucial role in determining the traffic load in transportation systems. This paper introduces a new framework to model and analyze the departure…
