Beyond critical coupling: optimal design considerations for spontaneous four-wave mixing in microring resonators
Joseph M. Lukens, Karthik V. Myilswamy, Alexander Miloshevsky +1
We present a self-contained analytical model for biphoton generation in microring resonators. Encompassing both all-pass and add-drop geometries, identical and distinct pump and bi…
Two-mode squeezing over deployed fiber coexisting with conventional communications
Joseph C. Chapman, Alexander Miloshevsky, Hsuan-Hao Lu +3
Squeezed light is a crucial resource for continuous-variable (CV) quantum information science. Distributed multi-mode squeezing is critical for enabling CV quantum networks and dis…
Radiation-Induced Dark Counts for Silicon Single-Photon Detectors in Space
Brandon A. Wilson, Alexander Miloshevsky, David A. Hooper +1
Single-photon detectors operating on satellites for use in a quantum communications network can incur large dark count rate increases from the natural radiation environment of spac…
Effects of a nuclear disturbed environment on a quantum free space optical link
David A. Hooper, Brandon A. Wilson, Alexander Miloshevsky +2
This manuscript investigates the potential effect of a nuclear-disturbed atmospheric environment on the signal attenuation of a ground/satellite transmitter/receiver system for bot…
