Dual optical frequency comb downconversion of D-band mm-wave signals
Callum Deakin, Zichuan Zhou, Ronit Sohanpal +1
We demonstrate a dual optical frequency comb concept that down-converts arbitrary narrowband D-band (110-170 GHz) signals to baseband without any filter or optical/RF frequency tun…
Impact of nonlinear spectral broadening on the phase noise properties of electro-optic frequency comb
Aleksandr Razumov, Yijia Cai, Jasper Riebesehl +5
Electro-optic modulation is an attractive approach for generating flat, stable, and low-noise optical frequency combs with relatively high power per comb line. However, a key limit…
On the Feasibility of SCL-Band Transmission over G.654.E-Compliant Long-Haul Fibre Links
Jiaqian Yang, Eric Sillekens, Ronit Sohanpal +10
We demonstrate the first SCL-band long-haul transmission using G.654.E-compliant fibre, achieving 100.8 Tb/s (GMI) over 1552 km, despite its 1520 nm cutoff wavelength. Due to the f…
Experimental Demonstration of MPI-Penalty-Free S-band Transmission over G.654.E Fibres
Romulo Aparecido, Jiaqian Yang, John D. Downie +6
We demonstrate multipath interference-penalty-free S-band transmission over two G.654.E-compliant fibres with cable cutoff up to 1530 nm. No SNR degradation was observed across var…
