A Tutorial on Optimal Control and Reinforcement Learning methods for Quantum Technologies
Luigi Giannelli, Sofia Sgroi, Jonathon Brown +4
Quantum Optimal Control is an established field of research which is necessary for the development of Quantum Technologies. In recent years, Machine Learning techniques have been p…
Reinforcement learning-enhanced protocols for coherent population-transfer in three-level quantum systems
Jonathon Brown, Sofia Sgroi, Luigi Giannelli +5
We deploy a combination of reinforcement learning-based approaches and more traditional optimization techniques to identify optimal protocols for population transfer in a multi-lev…
Retrieval of single photons from solid-state quantum transducers
Tom Schmit, Luigi Giannelli, Anders S. Sørensen +1
Quantum networks using photonic channels require control of the interactions between the photons, carrying the information, and the elements comprising the nodes. In this work we t…
Probing Ultrastrong Light-Matter Coupling in Open Quantum Systems
A. Ridolfo, J. Rajendran, L. Giannelli +2
Dynamically probing systems of ultrastrongly coupled light and matter by advanced coherent control has been recently proposed as a unique tool for detecting peculiar quantum featur…
