The relative canonical resolution: Macaulay2-package, experiments and conjectures

Christian Bopp, Michael Hoff

This short note provides a quick introduction to relative canonical resolutions of curves on rational normal scrolls. We present our Macaulay2-package which computes the relative c…

A version of Green's conjecture in positive characteristic

Christian Bopp, Frank-Olaf Schreyer

Based on computeralgebra experiments we formulate a refined version of Green's conjecture and a conjecture of Schicho-Schreyer-Weimann which conjecturally also holds in positive ch…

Moduli of lattice polarized K3 surfaces via relative canonical resolutions

Christian Bopp, Michael Hoff

For a smooth canonically embedded curve $C$ of genus $9$ together with a pencil $∣ L ∣$ of degree $6$ , we study the relative canonical resolution of $C \subset X \subset P^{8}$ ,…

Resolutions of General Canonical Curves on Rational Normal Scrolls

Christian Bopp, Michael Hoff

Let $C \subset P^{g - 1}$ be a general curve of genus $g$ and let $k$ be a positive integer such that the Brill-Noether number $ρ (g, k, 1) \geq 0$ and $g > k + 1$ . The aim of this…

Syzygies of 5-gonal Canonical Curves

Christian Bopp

We show that for $5$ -gonal curves of odd genus $g \geq 13$ and even genus $g \geq 28$ the $⌈ \frac{g - 1}{2} ⌉$ -th syzygy module of the curve is not determined by the syzygies…
