Method for 3D printing of cubic microbubbles: fully enclosed thin-walled microcavities with ultra-high aspect ratios
Sohail Khan, Zengbo Wang, Qingshan Yang +1
A microbubble is, in essence, a fully enclosed thin-walled microcavity. Unlike spherical microbubbles formed by expansions, 3D printing enables the free definition of their geometr…
SuperNANO: Enabling Nano-Scale Laser an-ti-counterfeiting Marking and Precision Cutting with Super-Resolution Imaging
Yiduo Chen, Bing Yan, Liyang Yue +2
In this paper, we present a unique multi-functional super-resolution instrument, the SuperNANO system, which integrates real-time super-resolution imaging with direct laser nanofab…
Superlens-Assisted Laser Nanostructuring of Long Period Optical Fiber Gratings (LPGs) for Enhanced Refractive Index Sensing
Yiduo Chen, Liyang Yue, Zengbo Wang
We present an innovative method to enhance Long Period Optical Fiber Gratings (LPGs) for refractive index sensing using microsphere-assisted superlens laser nanostructuring. This t…
Experimental observation of a photonic hook
Igor V. Minin, Oleg V. Minin, Gleb M. Katyba +6
In this letter, we report the first experimental observation of a photonic hook - a new type of near field curved light generated at the output of dielectric cuboid with broken sym…
