Barkhausen noise in disordered strip-like ferromagnets: experiment vs. simulations
Djordje Spasojevic, Milos Marinkovic, Dragutin Jovkovic +3
In this paper, we compare the results obtained from the low-frequency Barkhausen noise recordings performed on a VITROPERM 800 metallic glass sample with the results from the numer…
The effects of external noise on threshold induced correlations in ferromagnetic systems
Dragutin Jovkovic, Sanja Janicevic, Svetislav Mijatovic +2
In the present paper we investigate the impact of the external noise and detection threshold level on the simulation data for the systems that evolve through metastable states. As…
The critical Barkhausen avalanches in thin random-field ferromagnets with an open boundary
Bosiljka Tadic, Svetislav Mijatovic, Sanja Janicevic +2
The interplay between the critical fluctuations and the sample geometry is investigated numerically using thin random-field ferromagnets exhibiting the field-driven magnetisation r…
Inter-event correlations from avalanches hiding below the detection threshold
Sanja Janićević, Lasse Laurson, Knut Jørgen Måløy +2
Numerous systems ranging from deformation of materials to earthquakes exhibit bursty dynamics, which consist of a sequence of events with a broad event size distribution. Very ofte…
