Towards the Doran-Harder-Thompson conjecture via the Gross-Siebert program
Lawrence J. Barrott, Charles F. Doran
The Doran-Harder-Thompson "gluing/splitting" conjecture unifies mirror symmetry conjectures for Calabi-Yau and Fano varieties, relating fibration structures on Calabi-Yau varieties…
Tangent curves to degenerating hypersurfaces
Lawrence Jack Barrott, Navid Nabijou
We study the behaviour of rational curves tangent to a hypersurface under degenerations of the hypersurface. Working within the framework of logarithmic Gromov-Witten theory, we ex…
Convergence of the mirror to a rational elliptic surface
Lawrence Jack Barrott
The construction introduced by Gross, Hacking and Keel allows one to construct a formal mirror family to a pair where is a smooth rational projective surface and a…
Explicit equations for mirror families to log Calabi-Yau surfaces
Lawrence Jack Barrott
Mirror symmetry for del Pezzo surfaces was studied by Auroux, Katzarkov and Orlov who suggested that the mirror should take the form of a Landau-Ginzburg model with a particular ty…
Logarithmic Chow theory
Lawrence Jack Barrott
We describe a refined Chow theory for log schemes extending the theory of b-Chow suggested Holmes Pixton and Schmidt based off of a definition of Shokurov. This produces a dimensio…
