Hydrodynamics, spin currents and torsion
A. D. Gallegos, U. Gursoy, A. Yarom
We construct the canonical constitutive relations for a fluid description of a system with a spin current, valid in an arbitrary number of dimensions in the absence of parity break…
Non-Riemannian gravity actions from double field theory
A. D. Gallegos, U. Gürsoy, S. Verma +1
Non-Riemannian gravitational theories suggest alternative avenues to understand properties of quantum gravity and provide a concrete setting to study condensed matter systems with…
Holographic spin liquids and Lovelock Chern-Simons gravity
A. D. Gallegos, U. Gürsoy
We explore the role of torsion as source of spin current in strongly interacting conformal fluids using holography. We establish the constitutive relations of the basic hydrodynami…
Torsional Newton Cartan gravity from non-relativistic strings
A. D. Gallegos, U. Gursoy, N. Zinnato
We study propagation of closed bosonic strings in torsional Newton-Cartan geometry based on a recently proposed Polyakov type action derived by dimensional reduction of the ordinar…
Dynamical gauge fields and anomalous transport at strong coupling
Angel Domingo Gallegos, Umut Gürsoy
Anomalous transport coefficients are known to be universal in the absence of dynamical gauge fields. We calculate the corrections to these universal values due to dynamical gluon f…
