The Colorado Ultraviolet Transit Experiment (CUTE) Mission Overview
Kevin France, Brian Fleming, Arika Egan +18
Atmospheric escape is a fundamental process that affects the structure, composition, and evolution of many planets. The signatures of escape are detectable on close-in, gaseous exo…
CHESS: an Innovative Concept for High-Resolution, Far-UV Spectroscopy
Keri Hoadley, Kevin France, Nicholas Nell +4
The space ultraviolet (UV) is a critical astronomical observing window, where a multitude of atomic, ionic, and molecular signatures provide crucial insight into planetary, interst…
The re-flight of the Colorado high-resolution Echelle stellar spectrograph (CHESS): improvements, calibrations, and post-flight results
Keri Hoadley, Kevin France, Nicholas Kruczek +7
In this proceeding, we describe the scientific motivation and technical development of the Colorado High-resolution Echelle Stellar Spectrograph (CHESS), focusing on the hardware a…
The SLICE, CHESS, and SISTINE Ultraviolet Spectrographs: Rocket-borne Instrumentation Supporting Future Astrophysics Missions
Kevin France, Keri Hoadley, Brian T. Fleming +4
NASA's suborbital program provides an opportunity to conduct unique science experiments above Earth's atmosphere and is a pipeline for the technology and personnel essential to fut…
