First detection of HDO ice in a protoplanetary disk
Alexey Potapov, Piyush Kalambkar, Jeroen Bouwman +4
Protoplanetary disks are the birthplace of planets and planetary systems. Investigating the molecular inventory of disks is key to linking the chemical evolution of the interstella…
Toward Exoplanet Transit Spectroscopy Using JWST/MIRI's Medium Resolution Spectrometer
Drake Deming, Guangwei Fu, Jeroen Bouwman +9
The Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI)'s Medium Resolution Spectrometer (the MRS) on JWST has potentially important advantages for transit and eclipse spectroscopy of exoplanets, inclu…
Transiting exoplanets with the Mid-InfraRed Instrument on board the James Webb Space Telescope: From simulations to observations
Achrène Dyrek, Elsa Ducrot, Pierre-Olivier Lagage +4
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has now started its exploration of exoplanetary worlds. In particular, the Mid-InfraRed Instrument (MIRI) with its Low-Resolution Spectrometer…
MIRISim: A Simulator for the Mid-Infrared Instrument on JWST
P. D. Klaassen, V. C. Geers, S. M. Beard +18
The Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) on the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), has imaging, four coronagraphs and both low and medium resolution spectroscopic modes . Being able to s…
