Chiral maps of given hyperbolic type on
Olivia Reade
This paper proves the existence of a chiral map with alternating automorphism group for every hyperbolic type. We present a set of constructions using permutations for when at leas…
Chiral covers of regular maps of given type
Olivia Reade, Jozef Širáň
With the help of the theory of holomorphic and anti-holomorphic differentials, G. A. Jones [Chiral covers of hypermaps, Ars Math. Contemp. 8 (2015), 425-431] proved that every regu…
String C-group representations of transitive Groups: a case study with degree
Maria Elisa Fernandes, Claudio Alexandre Piedade, Olivia Reade
In this paper we give a non-computer-assisted proof of the following result: if is an even transitive group of degree and has a string C-group representation with rank $r\…
Classifying edge-biregular maps of negative prime Euler characteristic
Olivia Jeans, Jozef Širáň
An edge-biregular map arises as a smooth normal quotient of a unique index-two subgroup of a full triangle group acting with two edge-orbits. We give a classification of all finite…
Introducing edge-biregular maps
Olivia Reade Jeans
We introduce the concept of alternate-edge-colourings for maps, and study highly symmetric examples of such maps. Edge-biregular maps of type occur as smooth normal quotien…
