Evaluating Accuracy and Probabilistic Reliability of Zero-Shot Time Series Foundation Models
Panagiotis Michael, Moysis Symeonides, Demetris Trihinas
Time Series Foundation Models (TSFMs) promise a paradigm shift toward zero-shot forecasting by eliminating task-specific training. However, existing works often overlook trade-offs…
A Measurement Study of LLM Inference Trade-offs Across Edge Continuum Hardware
Maysam Khatib, Moysis Symeonides, Demetris Trihinas +2
Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used as backends for intelligent web services, but serving them across the edge continuum requires balancing quality, latency, model f…
Towards Energy Consumption and Carbon Footprint Testing for AI-driven IoT Services
Demetris Trihinas, Lauritz Thamsen, Jossekin Beilharz +1
Energy consumption and carbon emissions are expected to be crucial factors for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Both the scale and the geo-distribution keep increasing, while…
A Self-stabilizing Control Plane for the Edge and Fog Ecosystems
Zacharias Georgiou, Chryssis Georgiou, George Pallis +2
Fog Computing is now emerging as the dominating paradigm bridging the compute and connectivity gap between sensing devices (a.k.a. "things") and latency-sensitive services. However…
