Real-Time Dynamics in a (2+1)-D Gauge Theory: The Stringy Nature on a Superconducting Quantum Simulator
Jesús Cobos, Joana Fraxanet, César Benito +7
Understanding the confinement mechanism in gauge theories and the universality of effective string-like descriptions of gauge flux tubes remains a fundamental challenge in modern p…
Diagonalization of large many-body Hamiltonians on a quantum processor
Nobuyuki Yoshioka, Mirko Amico, William Kirby +16
The estimation of low energies of many-body systems is a cornerstone of computational quantum sciences. Variational quantum algorithms can be used to prepare ground states on pre-f…
Best practices for quantum error mitigation with digital zero-noise extrapolation
Ritajit Majumdar, Pedro Rivero, Friederike Metz +2
Digital zero-noise extrapolation (dZNE) has emerged as a common approach for quantum error mitigation (QEM) due to its conceptual simplicity, accessibility, and resource efficiency…
An optimal quantum sampling regression algorithm for variational eigensolving in the low qubit number regime
Pedro Rivero, Ian C. Cloët, Zack Sullivan
The VQE algorithm has turned out to be quite expensive to run given the way we currently access quantum processors (i.e. over the cloud). In order to alleviate this issue, we intro…
