Integration of Few Body Celestial Systems Implementing Explicit Numerical Methods
Achilleas Mavrakis, Konstantinos Kritos
The -body problem is of historical significance because it was the first implementation of the Newtonian dynamical laws for the description of our Solar System. Motivated by thi…
The Astro-Primordial Black Hole Merger Rates: a Reappraisal
K. Kritos, V. De Luca, G. Franciolini +2
Mainly motivated by the recent GW190521 mass gap event which we take as a benchmark point, we critically assess if binaries made of a primordial black hole and a black hole of astr…
Evaluating the Merger Rate of Binary Black Holes from Direct Captures and Third-Body Soft Interactions Using the Milky Way Globular Clusters
Konstantinos Kritos, Ilias Cholis
The multitude of binary black hole coalescence detections in gravitational waves has renewed our interest on environments that can be the cradle of these mergers. In this work we s…
Exploring the Spectral Shape of Gravitational Waves Induced by Primordial Scalar Perturbations and Connection with the Primordial Black Hole Scenarios
Ioannis Dalianis, Konstantinos Kritos
There is a growing expectation that the gravitational wave detectors will start probing the stochastic gravitational wave backgrounds in the following years. We explore the spectra…
