Saad Kriouile, Mohamad Assaad, Amira Alloum +1
In this paper, we investigate the impact of denial-of-service attacks on the status updating of a cyber-physical system with one or more sensors connected to a remote monitor via u…
Breaking the Unit Throughput Barrier in Distributed Systems
Akshit Kumar, Parikshit Hegde, Rahul Vaze +2
A multi-level random power transmit strategy that is used in conjunction with a random access protocol (RAP) (e.g. ALOHA, IRSA) is proposed to fundamentally increase the throughput…
On locality of Generalized Reed-Muller codes over the broadcast erasure channel
Amira Alloum, Sian-Jheng Lin, Tareq Y. Al-Naffouri
One to Many communications are expected to be among the killer applications for the currently discussed 5G standard. The usage of coding mechanisms is impacting broadcasting standa…
Performance Comparison of Short-Length Error-Correcting Codes
J. Van Wonterghem, A. Alloum, J. J. Boutros +1
We compare the performance of short-length linear binary codes on the binary erasure channel and the binary-input Gaussian channel. We use a universal decoder that can decode any l…
