NS3Learn: Transferring 5G NR Mode-2 Reception Realism from ns-3 to the Veins/SUMO Stack for Connected-Vehicle Safety Assessment
Rasheed Bello, Arthur Mukwaya, Gurcan Comert +5
Connected-vehicle safety evaluations rely on coupled traffic and network simulations, but standard channel models ignore radio resource competition in 5G NR sidelink Mode-2, report…
CPVNF:Cost-efficient Proactive VNF Placement and Chaining for Value-Added Services in Content Delivery Networks
Mouhamad Dieye, Shohreh Ahvar, Jagruti Sahoo +4
Value-added services (e.g., overlaid video advertisements) have become an integral part of today's Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). To offer cost-efficient, scalable and more agil…
A Survey on Replica Server Placement Algorithms for Content Delivery Networks
Jagruti Sahoo, Mohammad A. Salahuddin, Roch Glitho +2
Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) have gained immense popularity over the years. Replica server placement is a key design issue in CDNs. It entails placing replica servers at meticu…
Network Functions Virtualization Architecture for Gateways for Virtualized Wireless Sensor and Actuator Networks
Carla Mouradian, Tonmoy Saha, Jagruti Sahoo +4
Virtualization enables multiple applications to share the same wireless sensor and actuator network (WSAN). However, in heterogeneous environments, virtualized wireless sensor and…
Cloudifying the 3GPP IP Multimedia Subsystem for 4G and Beyond: A Survey
Mohammad Abu-Lebdeh, Jagruti Sahoo, Roch Glitho +1
4G systems have been continuously evolving to cope with the emerging challenges of human-centric and machine-to- machine (M2M) applications. Research has also now started on 5G sys…
NFV Based Gateways for Virtualized Wireless Sensors Networks: A Case Study
Carla Mouradian, Tonmoy Saha, Jagruti Sahoo +3
Virtualization enables the sharing of a same wireless sensor network (WSN) by multiple applications. However, in heterogeneous environments, virtualized wireless sensor networks (V…
