A Fast and Scalable Iterative Solution of a Socio-Economic Security-Constrained Optimal Power Flow with Two-Stage Post-Contingency Control
Matias Vistnes, Vijay Venu Vadlamudi, Oddbjørn Gjerde
A fast and scalable iterative methodology for solving the security-constrained optimal power flow (SCOPF) problem is proposed using problem decomposition and the inverse matrix mod…
A Novel Approach for Solving Security Constrained Optimal Power Flow Using the Inverse Matrix Modification Lemma and Benders Decomposition
Matias Vistnes, Vijay Venu Vadlamudi, Sigurd Hofsmo Jakobsen +1
With the increasing complexity of power systems, faster methods for power system reliability analysis are needed. We propose a novel methodology to solve the security constrained o…
Impact of Cyber Failures on Operation and Adequacy of Multi-Microgrid Distribution Systems
Mostafa Barani, Vijay Venu Vadlamudi, Hossein Farzin
Large-scale successful integration of microgeneration, together with active loads, energy storage devices, and energy scheduling strategies, requires the extensive adoption of adva…
BATTPOWER Toolbox: Memory-Efficient and High-Performance Multi-Period AC Optimal Power Flow Solver
Salman Zaferanlouei, Hossein Farahmand, Vijay Venu Vadlamudi +1
With the introduction of massive renewable energy sources and storage devices, the traditional process of grid operation must be improved in order to be safe, reliable, fast respon…
