High contrast at short separation with VLTI/GRAVITY: Bringing Gaia companions to light
N. Pourré, T. O. Winterhalder, J. -B. Le Bouquin +173
Since 2019, GRAVITY has provided direct observations of giant planets and brown dwarfs at separations of down to 95 mas from the host star. Some of these observations have provided…
First light of VLT/HiRISE: High-resolution spectroscopy of young giant exoplanets
A. Vigan, M. El Morsy, M. Lopez +46
A major endeavor of this decade is the direct characterization of young giant exoplanets at high spectral resolution to determine the composition of their atmosphere and infer thei…
The GRAVITY+ Project: Towards All-sky, Faint-Science, High-Contrast Near-Infrared Interferometry at the VLTI
GRAVITY+ Collaboration, :, Roberto Abuter +134
The GRAVITY instrument has been revolutionary for near-infrared interferometry by pushing sensitivity and precision to previously unknown limits. With the upgrade of GRAVITY and th…
Imaging low-mass planets within the habitable zone of α Centauri
K. Wagner, A. Boehle, P. Pathak +39
Giant exoplanets on wide orbits have been directly imaged around young stars. If the thermal background in the mid-infrared can be mitigated, then exoplanets with lower masses can…
