Unveiling the biconical geometry of the outflow in the ultraluminous X-ray source NGC 5204 X-1
S. Caserta, C. Pinto, T. Di Salvo +9
Ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULXs) are non-nuclear X-ray binary systems that exceed the Eddington luminosity for a 10 Msun black hole. The majority of these sources are thought to…
How the spin-phase variability of cyclotron lines shapes the pulsed fraction spectra: insights from 4U 1538-52
Dimitrios K. Maniadakis, Ekaterina Sokolova-Lapa, Antonino D'Aì +15
We study the energy-dependent pulse profile of 4U 1538-52 and its phase-dependent spectral variability, with emphasis on the behavior around the cyclotron resonant scattering featu…
Observations of a radio-bright, X-ray obscured GRS 1915+105
S. E. Motta, J. J. E. Kajava, M. Giustini +9
The Galactic black hole transient GRS1915+105 is famous for its markedly variable X-ray and radio behaviour, and for being the archetypal galactic source of relativistic jets. It e…
The long outburst of the black hole transient GRS 1716-249 observed in the X-ray and radio band
T. Bassi, M. Del Santo, A. D'Aì +9
We present the spectral and timing analysis of X-ray observations performed on the Galactic black hole transient GRS 1716-249 during the 2016-2017 outburst. The source was almost c…
