Terrestrial readiness campaign for space-to-ground quantum communications with a space-qualified entangled photon-pair system
Gianluca De Santis, Jia Boon Chin, Srihari Sivasankaran +8
Realizing a global quantum internet relies on the deployment of robust satellite-based entanglement distribution links. While pioneering demonstrations have established the feasibi…
Comparing a radiation damage model for avalanche photodiodes through in-situ observation of CubeSat based devices
Arpad Lenart, Tanvirul Islam, Srihari Sivasankaran +4
Space-based quantum technologies are essential building blocks for global quantum networks. However, the optoelectronic components used can be susceptible to radiation damage. Pred…
A CubeSat platform for space based quantum key distribution
Srihari Sivasankaran, Clarence Liu, Moritz Mihm +1
Satellite nodes are an enabler of global quantum networks by overcoming the distance limitations of fiber and free-space links on ground. The design of quantum sources and receiver…
Realizing quantum nodes in space for cost-effective, global quantum communication: in-orbit results and next steps
Chithrabhanu Perumangatt, Tom Vergoossen, Alexander Lohrmann +6
Quantum sources and receivers operating on-board satellites are an essential building block for global quantumnetworks. SpooQy-1 is a satellite developed at the Centre for Quantum…
