Block persistence
Stephane Cueille, Clement Sire
We define a block persistence probability as the probability that the order parameter integrated on a block of linear size has never changed sign since the initial tim…
Spin block persistence at finite temperature
Stephane Cueille, Clement Sire
We explore a new definition of the persistence exponent, measuring the probability that a spin never flips after a quench of an Ising-like model at a temperature 0<T<Tc, while the…
Droplets nucleation, and Smoluchowski's equation with growth and injection of particles
Stephane Cueille, Clement Sire
We show that models for homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation of D-dimensional droplets in a d-dimensional medium are described in mean-field by a modified Smoluchowski equation…
Smoluchowski's equation for cluster exogenous growth
Stephane Cueille, Clement Sire
We introduce an extended Smoluchowski equation describing coagulation processes for which clusters of mass s grow between collisions with . A physical example, dropwise…
Nontrivial Polydispersity Exponents in Aggregation Models
Stephane Cueille, Clement Sire
We consider the scaling solutions of Smoluchowski's equation of irreversible aggregation, for a non gelling collision kernel. The scaling mass distribution f(s) diverges as s^{-tau…
