A highly-collimated SiO jet in the HH212 protostellar outflow
C. Codella, S. Cabrit, F. Gueth +4
We mapped the HH212 Class 0 outflow in SiO(2--1, 5--4) and continuum using the PdBI in its extended configurations. The unprecedented angular resolution (down to 0.34") allows accu…
Warm SiO gas in molecular bullets associated with protostellar outflows
B. Nisini, C. Codella, T. Giannini +4
In this paper we present the first SiO multiline analysis (from J=2-1 to J=11-10) of the molecular bullets along the outflows of the Class 0 sources L1448-mm and L1157-mm, obtained…
Infall of gas as the formation mechanism of stars up to 20 times more massive than the Sun
Maria T. Beltran, Riccardo Cesaroni, Claudio Codella +3
Theory predicts and observations confirm that low-mass stars (like the Sun) in their early life grow by accreting gas from the surrounding material. But for stars ~ 10 times more m…
First evidence for molecular interfaces between outflows and ambient cloud in high-mass star forming regions?
C. Codella, S. Viti, D. A. Williams +1
We present new observations of the CepA-East region of massive star formation and describe an extended and dynamically distinct feature not previously recognised. This feature is p…
