Practical quantum key distribution: On the security evaluation with inefficient single-photon detectors
Marcos Curty, Norbert Lütkenhaus
Quantum Key Distribution with the BB84 protocol has been shown to be unconditionally secure even using weak coherent pulses instead of single-photon signals. The distances that can…
Unconditional Security of the Bennett 1992 quantum key-distribution over lossy and noisy channel
Kiyoshi Tamaki, Norbert Lütkenhaus
We show that the security proof of the Bennett 1992 protocol over loss-free channel in (K. Tamaki, M. Koashi, and N. Imoto, Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 167904 (2003)) can be adapted to ac…
Reduction Theorems for Optimal Unambiguous State Discrimination of Density Matrices
Philippe Raynal, Norbert Lütkenhaus, Steven J. van Enk
We present reduction theorems for the problem of optimal unambiguous state discrimination (USD) of two general density matrices. We show that this problem can be reduced to that of…
Simple criteria for projective measurements with linear optics
Peter van Loock, Norbert Lütkenhaus
We derive a set of criteria to decide whether a given projection measurement can be, in principle, exactly implemented solely by means of linear optics. The derivation can be adapt…
