Qubit-environment entanglement outside of pure decoherence: hyperfine interaction
Tymoteusz Salamon, Marcin Płodzień, Maciej Lewenstein +1
In spin-based architectures of quantum devices, the hyperfine interaction between the electron spin qubit and the nuclear spin environment remains one of the main sources of decohe…
Flat-band-induced superconductivity in synthetic bilayer optical lattices
Tymoteusz Salamon, Bernhard Irsigler, Debraj Rakshit +3
Stacking two layers of graphene with a relative twist angle gives rise to moiré patterns, which can strongly modify electronic behavior and may lead to unconventional superconducti…
The Coming Decades of Quantum Simulation
Joana Fraxanet, Tymoteusz Salamon, Maciej Lewenstein
Contemporary quantum technologies face major difficulties in fault tolerant quantum computing with error correction, and focus instead on various shades of quantum simulation (Nois…
Extended Bose-Hubbard model with dipolar excitons
C. Lagoin, U. Bhattacharya, T. Grass +7
The Hubbard model constitutes one of the most celebrated theoretical frameworks of condensed-matter physics. It describes strongly correlated phases of interacting quantum particle…
