Efficiency at maximum power of a Carnot quantum information engine
Paul Fadler, Alexander Friedenberger, Eric Lutz
Optimizing the performance of thermal machines is an essential task of thermodynamics. We here consider the optimization of information engines that convert information about the s…
Quantum witness of a damped qubit with generalized measurements
Manuel Bojer, Alexander Friedenberger, Eric Lutz
We evaluate the quantum witness based on the no-signaling-in-time condition of a damped two-level system for nonselective generalized measurements of varying strength. We explicitl…
Tailoring the quantumness of a driven qubit
Alexander Friedenberger, Eric Lutz
We investigate the nonclassicality of a two-level system driven by an external time-dependent field in the presence of dephasing. We consider two criteria for nonclassicality, one…
Assessing the quantumness of a damped two-level system
Alexander Friedenberger, Eric Lutz
We perform a detailed analysis of the nonclassical properties of a damped two-level system. We compute and compare three different criteria of quantumness, the -norm of cohere…
When is a quantum heat engine quantum?
Alexander Friedenberger, Eric Lutz
Quantum thermodynamics studies quantum effects in thermal machines. But when is a heat engine, which cyclically interacts with external reservoirs that unavoidably destroy its quan…
