A high pressure, high temperature gas medium apparatus to measure acoustic velocities during deformation of rock
Christopher Harbord, Nicolas Brantut, Emmanuel David +1
A new set-up to measure acoustic wave velocities through deforming rock samples at high pressures (up to 1000 MPa), temperatures (up to 700C) and differential stress (up to…
Insight into the microphysics of antigorite deformation from spherical nanoindentation
Lars N. Hansen, Emmanuel C. David, Nicolas Brantut +1
The mechanical behavior of antigorite strongly influences the strength and deformation of the subduction interface. Although there is microstructural evidence elucidating the natur…
Low-Frequency Measurements of Seismic Velocity and Attenuation in Antigorite Serpentinite
Emmanuel C. David, Nicolas Brantut, Lars N. Hansen +1
Laboratory measurements of seismic velocity and attenuation in antigorite serpentinite at a confining pressure of kbar and temperatures up to C (i.e., in the antigor…
Influence of fluids on ratio: Increase or decrease?
Nicolas Brantut, Emmanuel C. David
The evolution of with increasing fluid-saturated porosity is computed for isotropic rocks containing spheroidal pores. is sh…
