Kinematics of the Local Universe. X. H_0 from the inverse B-band Tully-Fisher relation using diameter and magnitude limited samples
T. Ekholm, P. Teerikorpi, G. Theureau +4
We derive the value of H_0 using the inverse diameter and magnitude B-band Tully-Fisher relations and the large all-sky sample KLUN (5171 spiral galaxies). Our kinematical model wa…
Hubble constant from sosie galaxies and HIPPARCOS geometrical calibration
G. Paturel, P. Lanoix, P. Teerikorpi +5
New distances, larger than previous ones, have been obtained for M 31 and M 81 based on the geometrical zero-point of the Cepheid Period-luminosity relation provided by the HIPPARC…
Extragalactic database. VII Reduction of astrophysical parameters
G. Paturel, H. Andernach, L. Bottinelli +10
The Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic database (LEDA) gives a free access to the main astrophysical parameters for more than 100,000 galaxies. The most common names are compiled allowing u…
The radial space distribution of KLUN-galaxies up to 200 Mpc: incompleteness or evidence for the behaviour predicted by fractal dimension ~ 2?
P. Teerikorpi, M. Hanski, G. Theureau +4
We have studied using the KLUN sample of 5171 spiral galaxies having Tully-Fisher distance moduli, the average radial space distribution of galaxies out to a distance of about 200…
