96 kHz on-sky imaging on an adaptive optics system with a single-photon avalanche diode
Theodore A. Grosson, Maaike A. M. van Kooten, Kathryn Jackson +2
Astronomical observations requiring extremely high angular resolution necessitate advanced adaptive optics (AO) systems to overcome blurring caused by the atmosphere. In addition t…
MORFEO control strategy
Guido Agapito, Lorenzo Busoni, Cédric Plantet +7
The ESO Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) will offer unprecedented sensitivity and resolution in the near-infrared, marking a new era for ground-based astronomy. Among its key imagin…
MORFEO: Advancing Towards Final Design
Lorenzo Busoni, Guido Agapito, Marco Bonaglia +106
The Multiconjugate adaptive Optics Relay For ELT Observations (MORFEO) is a first-generation adaptive optics module for the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT), designed to deliver a d…
MORFEO wavefront error budget
Guido Agapito, Lorenzo Busoni, Cédric Plantet +2
MORFEO (Multi-conjugate adaptive Optics Relay For ELT Observations, formerly MAORY) is the multi-conjugate adaptive optics module of the ESO Extremely Large Telescope (ELT), design…
