A Training-Based Mutual Information Lower Bound for Large-Scale Systems
Xiangbo Meng, Kang Gao, Bertrand M. Hochwald
We provide a mutual information lower bound that can be used to analyze the effect of training in models with unknown parameters. For large-scale systems, we show that this bound c…
Training-Based Equivalence Relations in Large-Scale Quantized Communication Systems
Kang Gao, Xiangbo Meng, J. Nicholas Laneman +4
We show that a quantized large-scale system with unknown parameters and training signals can be analyzed by examining an equivalent system with known parameters by modifying the si…
Double-Sequence Frequency Synchronization for Wideband Millimeter-Wave Systems with Few-Bit ADCs
Dalin Zhu, Ralf Bendlin, Salam Akoum +2
In this paper, we propose and evaluate two novel double-sequence low-resolution frequency synchronization methods in millimeter-wave (mmWave) systems. In our system model, the base…
Directional Frame Timing Synchronization in Wideband Millimeter-Wave Systems with Low-Resolution ADCs
Dalin Zhu, Ralf Bendlin, Salam Akoum +2
In this paper, we propose and evaluate a novel beamforming strategy for directional frame timing synchronization in wideband millimeter-wave (mmWave) systems operating with low-res…
