In-flight energy calibration of the space-borne Compton polarimeter POLAR
Hualin Xiao, Wojtek Hajdas, Bobing Wu +39
POLAR is a compact wide-field space-borne detector for precise measurements of the linear polarisation of hard X-rays emitted by transient sources in the energy range from 50 keV t…
Calibration of the Space-borne Compton Polarimeter POLAR flight model with 100% polarized X-ray beams
H. L. Xiao, W. Hajdas, P. Socha +32
POLAR is space-borne detector designed for a precise measurement of gamma-ray polarization of the prompt emissions of Gamma-Ray Bursts in the energy range 50 keV - 500 keV. POLAR i…
Study of linearity of LYSO crystal for HERD calorimeter
Zheng Quan, Zhi-gang Wang, Ming Xu +10
The High Energy cosmic Radiation Detection (HERD) facility is a space mission designed for detecting cosmic ray (CR) electrons, -rays up to tens of TeV and CR nuclei from proton…
A crosstalk and non-uniformity correction method for the Compact Space-borne Compton Polarimeter POLAR
Hualin Xiao, Wojtek Hajdas, Bobing Wu +33
In spite of extensive observations and numerous theoretical studies in the past decades several key questions related with Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRB) emission mechanisms are still to b…
