Deployment of a Transportable Yb Optical Lattice Clock
Tobias Bothwell, Wesley Brand, Robert Fasano +16
We report on the first deployment of a ytterbium (Yb) transportable optical lattice clock (TOLC), commercially shipping the clock 3,000 km from Boulder, Colorado to Washington DC.…
Long-distance chronometric leveling with a portable optical clock
J. Grotti, I. Nosske, S. B. Koller +19
We have measured the geopotential difference between two locations separated by by comparison of two optical lattice clocks via an interferometric fiber link, uti…
Optical clock intercomparison with precision in one hour
E. Oelker, R. B. Hutson, C. J. Kennedy +14
Improvements in atom-light coherence are foundational to progress in quantum information science, quantum optics, and precision metrology. Optical atomic clocks require local oscil…
Autonomous frequency stabilization of two extended cavity diode lasers at the potassium wavelength on a sounding rocket
Aline N. Dinkelaker, Max Schiemangk, Vladimir Schkolnik +14
We have developed, assembled, and flight-proven a stable, compact, and autonomous extended cavity diode laser (ECDL) system designed for atomic physics experiments in space. To tha…
