A High-Eccentricity Warm Jupiter Orbiting TOI-4127
Arvind F. Gupta, Jonathan M. Jackson, Guillaume Hebrard +36
We report the discovery of TOI-4127 b, a transiting, Jupiter-sized exoplanet on a long-period ( d), high-eccentricity orbit around a late F-type…
Statistical Analysis of the Dearth of Super-eccentric Jupiters in the Kepler Sample
Jonathan M. Jackson, Rebekah I. Dawson, Billy Quarles +1
Hot Jupiters may have formed in situ, or been delivered to their observed short periods through one of two categories of migration mechanisms: disk migration or high-eccentricity m…
Observable Predictions from Perturber-coupled High-eccentricity Tidal Migration of Warm Jupiters
Jonathan M. Jackson, Rebekah I. Dawson, Andrew Shannon +1
The origin of warm Jupiters (gas giant planets with periods between 10 and 200 days) is an open question in exoplanet formation and evolution. We investigate a particular migration…
The Origin of Kepler-419b: A Path to Tidal Migration Via Four-body Secular Interactions
Jonathan M. Jackson, Rebekah I. Dawson, Joseph Zalesky
We test the high-eccentricity tidal migration scenario for Kepler-419b, a member of the eccentric warm Jupiter class of planets whose origin is debated. Kepler-419 hosts two known…
