On the maxmin- eigenspaces and their over-approximation by zones
Muhammad Syifa'ul Mufid, Ebrahim Patel, Sergei Sergeev
Maxmin- dynamical systems were previously introduced as a generalization of dynamical systems expressed by tropical linear algebra. To describe steady states of such systems one…
Universal algorithms for solving the matrix Bellman equations over semirings
Grigory L. Litvinov, Anatoly Ya. Rodionov, Sergei N. Sergeev +1
This paper is a survey on universal algorithms for solving the matrix Bellman equations over semirings and especially tropical and idempotent semirings. However, original algorithm…
Two cores of a nonnegative matrix
Peter Butkovic, Hans Schneider, Sergei Sergeev +1
We prove that the sequence of eigencones (i.e., cones of nonnegative eigenvectors) of positive powers A^k of a nonnegative square matrix A is periodic both in max algebra and in no…
The Analytic Hierarchy Process, Max Algebra and Multi-objective Optimisation
Buket Benek Gursoy, Oliver Mason, Sergei Sergeev
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is widely used for decision making involving multiple criteria. Elsner and van den Driessche introduced a max-algebraic approach to the single…
