A jet-driven bipolar outflow in NGC 1125
Astor João Schönell Júnior, Rogemar A. Riffel, Rogério Riffel +1
To study the role of the feedback from the Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) in the evolution of its host galaxy, we need observational constraints on 100 pc scales. We used the Gemini…
The AGNIFS survey: distribution and excitation of the hot molecular and ionised gas in the inner kpc of nearby AGN hosts
R. A. Riffel, T. Storchi-Bergmann, R. Riffel +13
We use the Gemini NIFS instrument to map the Hm and Br flux distributions in the inner 0.04-2 kpc of a sample of 36 nearby active galaxies ($0.001\lesssim z\lesssim0…
Gemini NIFS survey of feeding and feedback in nearby Active Galaxies -- IV. Excitation
Rogemar A. Riffel, Marina Bianchin, Rogerio Riffel +5
The near-infrared spectra of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) present emission lines of different atomic and molecular species. The mechanisms involved in the origin of these emission…
Gemini NIFS survey of feeding and feedback in nearbyActive Galaxies - III. Ionized versus warm molecular gasmasses and distributions
Astor J. Schonell, Thaisa Storchi-Bergmann, Rogemar A. Riffel +5
We have used the Gemini Near-Infrared Integral Field Spectrograph (NIFS) in the J and K bands to map the distribution, excitation and kinematics of the ionized HII and warm molecul…
