The spectra and composition of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays and the measurement of the proton-air cross section
Paolo Lipari
The shape of the longitudinal development of the showers generated in the atmosphere by very high energy cosmic ray particles encodes information about the mass composition of the…
Self-consistent approach for measuring the energy spectra and composition of cosmic rays and determining the properties of hadronic interactions at high energy
Andrea Addazi, Andy Buckley, Jose Bellido +25
Air showers, produced by the interaction of energetic cosmic rays with the atmosphere, are an excellent alternative to study particle physics at energies beyond any human-made part…
An X-Ray Burst from a Magnetar Enlightening the Mechanism of Fast Radio Bursts
M. Tavani, C. Casentini, A. Ursi +60
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are short (millisecond) radio pulses originating from enigmatic sources at extragalactic distances so far lacking a detection in other energy bands. Magnet…
The origin of the power-law form of the extragalactic gamma-ray flux
Paolo Lipari
The Fermi-LAT telescope has measured the extragalactic gamma-ray background (EGB) generated by the ensemble of all extragalactic sources. The energy distribution of the EGB is well…
