K2 Observations of SN 2018oh Reveal a Two-Component Rising Light Curve for a Type Ia Supernova
G. Dimitriadis, R. J. Foley, A. Rest +145
We present an exquisite, 30-min cadence Kepler (K2) light curve of the Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) 2018oh (ASASSN-18bt), starting weeks before explosion, covering the moment of explo…
Photometric and Spectroscopic Properties of Type Ia Supernova 2018oh with Early Excess Emission from the 2 Observations
W. Li, X. Wang, J. Vinkó +160
Supernova (SN) 2018oh (ASASSN-18bt) is the first spectroscopically-confirmed type Ia supernova (SN Ia) observed in the field. The data revealed an excess emission…
A catalog of 29 open clusters and associations observed by the Kepler and K2 Missions
Ann Marie Cody, Geert Barentsen, Christina Hedges +5
Over the past nine years, the Kepler and K2 Missions have carried out high precision photometric monitoring of more than half a million stars. Among these targets are 29 clusters a…
Seeing Double: ASASSN-18bt Exhibits a Two-Component Rise in the Early-Time K2 Light Curve
B. J. Shappee, T. W. -s. Holoien, M. R. Drout +109
On 2018 Feb. 4.41, the All-Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN) discovered ASASSN-18bt in the K2 Campaign 16 field. With a redshift of z=0.01098 and a peak apparent magnit…
