Exploring experimental limit of deep quantum signal processing using a trapped-ion simulator
J. -T. Bu, Lei Zhang, Zhan Yu +12
Quantum signal processing (QSP), which enables systematic polynomial transformations on quantum data through sequences of qubit rotations, has emerged as a fundamental building blo…
Energy-conversion device using a quantum engine with the work medium of two-atom entanglement
J. -W. Zhang, B. Wang, W. -F. Yuan +7
Although entanglement is considered as an essential resource for quantum information processing, whether entanglement helps for energy conversion or output in the quantum regime is…
Single-Atom Verification of the Optimal Trade-Off between Speed and Cost in Shortcuts to Adiabaticity
J. -W. Zhang, J. -T. Bu, J. C. Li +11
The approach of shortcuts to adiabaticity enables the effective execution of adiabatic dynamics in quantum information processing with enhanced speed. Owing to the inherent trade-o…
Dynamical Control of Quantum Heat Engines Using Exceptional Points
J. -W. Zhang, J. -Q. Zhang, G. -Y. Ding +11
A quantum thermal machine is an open quantum system coupled to hot and cold thermal baths. Thus, its dynamics can be well understood using the concepts and tools from non-Hermitian…
