Pauli spectrum and nonstabilizerness of random fermionic Gaussian states
Xhek Turkeshi, Piotr Sierant, Poetri Sonya Tarabunga
We characterize the magic of random fermionic Gaussian states through their Pauli spectrum and their stabilizer entropies. For the Haar ensemble of Majorana Gaussian states we deri…
Higher-order Symmetric Quantum Mpemba Effect in Fragmented Systems
Sreemayee Aditya, Sara Murciano, Xhek Turkeshi
A quantum system can restore a broken symmetry faster the more strongly it initially breaks it, an anomaly known as the quantum Mpemba effect. Whether this effect survives once con…
Lecture Notes on Replica Tensor Networks for Random Quantum Circuits
Xhek Turkeshi
We present a pedagogical, hands-on tutorial on \emph{replica tensor-network} techniques for random quantum circuits. At its core, the method recasts circuit-averaged observables ac…
Practical Tests and Witnesses of Fermionic non-Gaussianity
Tobias Haug, Xhek Turkeshi, Piotr Sierant
Fermionic Gaussian states describe free fermions and underlie the mean-field picture of matter, from metals to superconductors; they are also efficiently simulable on classical com…
Theory of the Matchgate Commutant
Piotr Sierant, Xhek Turkeshi, Poetri Sonya Tarabunga
In quantum information theory and statistical physics, symmetries of multiple copies, or replicas, of a system play a pivotal role. For unitary ensembles, these symmetries are enco…
