Application of continuous corrections in widefield imaging obtained with the IDGCAL calibration method
Sebastiaan van der Tol
Image Domain Gridding (IDG) is an efficient method to evaluate A-projection, a method for correcting for direction dependent effects (DDEs) in radio astronomical imaging. The corre…
Direction-dependent calibration with image-domain gridding
Sebastiaan van der Tol, Sarod Yatawatta, Bram Veenboer +1
Wide-field images made by radio interferometers are invariably affected by direction-dependent systematic effects such as the ionosphere or the beam pattern. Calibration along a se…
Deep sub-arcsecond widefield imaging of the Lockman Hole field at 144 MHz
F. Sweijen, R. J. van Weeren, H. J. A. Röttgering +11
High quality low-frequency radio surveys have the promise of advancing our understanding of many important topics in astrophysics, including the life cycle of active galactic nucle…
Image Domain Gridding: a fast method for convolutional resampling of visibilities
Sebastiaan van der Tol, Bram Veenboer, André R. Offringa
In radio astronomy obtaining a high dynamic range in synthesis imaging of wide fields requires a correction for time and direction-dependent effects. Applying direction-dependent c…
