Age-metallicity dependent stellar kinematics of the Milky Way disc from LAMOST and Gaia
Yaqian Wu, Maosheng Xiang, Yuqin Chen +5
We investigate the stellar kinematics of the Galactic disc in 7 13\,kpc using a sample of 118\,945 red giant branch (RGB) stars from LAMOST and Gaia. We characterize th…
Tracing Kinematic and Chemical Properties of Sagittarius Stream by K-Giants, M-Giants, and BHB stars
Chengqun Yang, Xiang-Xiang Xue, Jing Li +12
We characterize the kinematic and chemical properties of 3,000 Sagittarius (Sgr) stream stars, including K-giants, M-giants, and BHBs, select from SEGUE-2, LAMOST, and SDSS s…
Identifying Galactic Halo Substructure in 6D Phase-space Using 13,000 LAMOST K Giants
Chengqun Yang, Xiang-Xiang Xue, Jing Li +6
We construct a large halo K-giant sample by combining the positions, distances, radial velocities, and metallicities of over 13,000 LAMOST DR5 halo K giants with the Gaia DR2 prope…
On the radial metallicity gradient and radial migration effect of the Galactic disk
Yunpeng Jia, Yuqin Chen, Gang Zhao +4
We study the radial metallicity gradient as a function of [Mg/Fe] and with the help of a guiding radius based on the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution…
