Dielectric Loaded Waveguide Terahertz LINACs
Mostafa Vahdani, Moein Fakhari, Franz X. Kaertner
Dielectric loaded waveguides (DLWs) driven by multicycle terahertz (THz) pulses hold great promise as compact linear accelerators (LINACs) due to their ability to sustain higher br…
Cascaded Multi-cycle terahertz driven ultrafast electron acceleration and manipulation
Dongfang Zhang, Moein Fakhari, Huseyin Cankaya +3
Terahertz (THz)-based electron acceleration and manipulation has recently been shown to be feasible and to hold tremendous promise as a technology for the development of next-gener…
Segmented Terahertz Electron Accelerator and Manipulator (STEAM)
Dongfang Zhang, Arya Fallahi, Michael Hemmer +8
Acceleration and manipulation of ultrashort electron bunches are the basis behind electron and X-ray devices used for ultrafast, atomic-scale imaging and spectroscopy. Using laser-…
Short Electron Bunch Generation Using Single-Cycle Ultrafast Electron Guns
Arya Fallahi, Moein Fakhari, Alireza Yahaghi +2
We introduce a solution for producing ultrashort (fs) high charge (pC) from ultra-compact guns utilizing single-cycle THz pulses. We show that the readily available THz…
