Short geodesic loops and $L^{p}$ norms of eigenfunctions on large genus random surfaces

Clifford Gilmore, Etienne Le Masson, Tuomas Sahlsten +1

We give upper bounds for $L^{p}$ norms of eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on compact hyperbolic surfaces in terms of a parameter depending on the growth rate of the number of short g…

Random walks associated to beta-shifts

Bing Li, Yao-Qiang Li, Tuomas Sahlsten

We study the dynamics of a simple random walk on subshifts defined by the beta transformation and apply it to find concrete formulae for the Hausdorff dimension of digit frequency…

Entropy in uniformly quasiregular dynamics

Ilmari Kangasniemi, Yûsuke Okuyama, Pekka Pankka +1

Let $M$ be a closed, oriented, and connected Riemannian $n$ -manifold, for $n \geq 2$ , which is not a rational homology sphere. We show that, for a non-constant and non-injective unif…

Fourier transform of self-affine measures

Jialun Li, Tuomas Sahlsten

Suppose $F$ is a self-affine set on $R^{d}$ , $d \geq 2$ , which is not a singleton, associated to affine contractions $f_{j} = A_{j} + b_{j}$ , $A_{j} \in GL (d, R)$ , $…
