Investigating the mini and giant radio flare episodes of Cygnus X-3
E. Egron, A. Pellizzoni, S. Righini +16
The microquasar Cygnus X-3 underwent a giant radio flare in April 2017, reaching a maximum flux of Jy at 8.5 GHz. We present results from a long monitoring campaign car…
Long term variability and correlation study of the blazar 3C 454.3 in radio, NIR and optical wavebands
A. Sarkar, V. R. Chitnis, A. C. Gupta +11
We performed a long-term optical (B, V, R bands), infra-red (J and K bands) and radio band (15, 22, 37 GHz band) study on the flat spectrum radio quasar, 3C 454.3, using the data c…
Accretion Disk Parameters determined from the great 2015 flare of OJ 287
Mauri J. Valtonen, Staszek Zola, Pauli Pihajoki +17
In the binary black hole model of OJ 287 the secondary black hole orbits a much more massive primary, and impacts on the primary accretion disk at predictable times. We update the…
Multiwavelength observations of the blazar BL Lacertae: a new fast TeV gamma-ray flare
A. U. Abeysekara, W. Benbow, R. Bird +74
Combined with very-long-baseline interferometry measurements, the observations of fast TeV gamma-ray flares probe the structure and emission mechanism of blazar jets. However, only…
