Photonic chip-based low noise microwave oscillator
Igor Kudelin, William Groman, Qing-Xin Ji +26
Numerous modern technologies are reliant on the low-phase noise and exquisite timing stability of microwave signals. Substantial progress has been made in the field of microwave ph…
High-coherence hybrid-integrated 780 nm source by self-injection-locked second-harmonic generation in a high-Q silicon-nitride resonator
Bohan Li, Zhiquan Yuan, Warren Jin +7
By self-injection-locking a 1560 nm distributed feedback semiconductor laser to a high- silicon nitride resonator, a high-coherence 780 nm second harmonic signal is generated vi…
Soliton pulse pairs at multiple colors in normal dispersion microresonators
Zhiquan Yuan, Maodong Gao, Yan Yu +7
Soliton microcombs are helping to advance the miniaturization of a range of comb systems. These combs mode lock through the formation of short temporal pulses in anomalous dispersi…
Engineered zero-dispersion microcombs using CMOS-ready photonics
Qing-Xin Ji, Warren Jin, Lue Wu +14
Normal group velocity dispersion (GVD) microcombs offer high comb line power and high pumping efficiency compared to bright pulse microcombs. The recent demonstration of normal GVD…
